Introducing Surrey United SC

Surrey United SC won 13 BC Women's Championships and three BC Men's Championships between 2003 and 2018, and won the National Women's Club Championships in 2006 and 2011.

The Surrey United Premier Women's team record of 11 straight provincial titles was recognized with a BC Soccer Special Recognition Award in 2018 and induction into the Soccer Hall of Fame of BC in 2020. See the separate entry for the Hall of fame Award.    

On the women's side Surrey United won two national titles...

In the 2006 Club Nationals – Women’s, Surrey United defeated Coquitlam FC in the final game in Surrey, by a 2-0 margin. The Surrey players in the 2006 nationals were: Julie Armstrong, Megan Blaker, April Coffin, Geraldine Donnelly, Shannon Douglas, Martina Franko, Nadia Guglielmini, Natalie Halcro, Randee Hermus, Vanessa Martino, Erin McLeod, Sadie McLure, Kim McMullen, Theresa Nuttall, Kate Qually, Mylee Ross, Sophie Schmidt, Nicole Stewart, Chantelle Whitehead, Bianca Wilkinson. The Head Coach was Steve Kindel.

In the 2011 Club Nationals – Women’s, Surrey United defeated Royal-Sélect Beauport in the final game in Brossard, by a 2-1 margin. The Surrey players in the 2011 nationals were: Ari Adams, Alexandra Benes, Megan Blaker, April Coffin, Courtney Duncan, Natalie Halcro, Chelsey Hannesson, Randee Hermus, Kim McMullen, Theresa Nuttall, Rachael Pelat, Kate Qually, Mylee Ross, Nicole Stewart, Katie Thorlakson, Devon Wharf, Bianca Wilkinson, Caitlin Young. The Head Coach was Jeff Clarke.

In 2004, Surrey United won the BC Provincial Cup - Women's by defeating UBC Alumni in the final by a score of 2-1 with two goals from Martina Holan (Franko). The Surrey United team in 2004 was:Wendy Hawthorne, Martina Holan (Franko), Andrea Sumner, Diana Artuso, Megan Blaker, Mylee Ross, Nadia Nashelenas (Guglielmini), Kate Qually, Randee Hermus, Geraldine Donnelly,  Vanessa Martino, Bianca Wilkinson, Sara Maglio and Sadie McLure.

In 2005, Surrey United won the BC Provincial Cup - Women's by defeating Coquitlam City in the final by a score of 4-1 with three goals from Randee Hermus and one from Martina Franko. The Surrey United team in 2005 was: Randee Hermus, Martina Franko, Megan Blaker, Vanessa Martino, Bianca Wilkinson, Natalie Halcro, Mylee Ross, Andrea Sumner, Sara Maglio, Nadia Nashelenas (Guglielmini), Geraldine Donnelly and Theresa Nuttal.

In 2006, Surrey United won the BC Provincial Cup - Women's by defeating Coquitlam FC in the final by a score of 2-0 with goals from Kate Qually and Megan Blaker. The Surrey United team in 2007 was: Megan Blaker, Geraldine Donnelly, Shannon Douglas, Natalie Halcro, Kim Harper, Randee Hermus, Sara Maglio, Vanessa Martino, Amelie Mercier, Sadie McLure, Kim McMullen, Theresa Nuttal, Kate Qually, Erin Porter, Mylee Ross, Nicole Stewart, Jillian Stewart and Bianca Wilkinson.

In 2008, Surrey United won the BC Provincial Cup - Women's by defeating Westside FC in the final by a score of 3-1 with two goals from Megan Blaker and one from Sharon Lehnert. The Surrey United team in 2008 was: Theresa Nuttal, Sadie Mclure, Natalie Halcro, Erin Porter, Geri Donnelly, Bianca Wilkinson, Sara Maglio, Vanessa Martino, Kate Qually, Randee Hermus, Mylee Ross, Sharon Lehnert, Shannon Douglas, Aly Benes, Nicole Stewart, Megan Blaker, Amelie Mercier, Racheal Pelât and Kim McMullen. The coach was Steve Kindell and the manager was Rob Sumner.

In 2009, Surrey United won the BC Provincial Cup - Women's by defeating Richmond Club Ireland in the final by a score of 2-1 with goals from Megan Blaker and Kate Qually . The Surrey United team in 2009 was: Megan Blaker, Katie Thorlakson, Lindsay Rohla, Bianca Wilkinson, Courtney Duncan, Erin Porter, Arianne Adams, Randee Hermus, Shannon Douglas, Caitlin Young, Rachael Pelat, Aly Benes, Natalie Halcro, Theresa Nuttal, Mylee Ross, April Coffin, Geraldine Donnelly, Nicole Stewart, Kim McMullen, Kate Qually, Amber Devriendt and Ellen K (last name unknown).

In 2010, Surrey United won the BC Provincial Cup - Women's by defeating North Shore Girls Renegades in the final by a score of 4-0 with three goals from Kaylyn Kyle and one from Katie Thorlakson. The Surrey United team in 2010 was: Shannon Douglas, Kaylyn Kyle, Randee Hermus, Natalie Halcro, Theresa Nuttal, Erin Porter, Courtney Duncan, Sharon Lehnert, Kate Qually, Kim McMullen, Aly Benes, April Coffin, Katie Thorlakson, Megan Blaker, Rachael Pelat, Arianne Adams and Nicole Stewart.

In 2012, Surrey United won the BC Provincial Cup - Women's by defeating Columbus FC in the final by a score of 3-0 with two goals from Katie Thorlakson and one from Arianne Adams. The Surrey United team in 2012 was: Devon Wharf, Theresa Nuttall, Natalie Fabbro, Bianca Wilkinson, Courtney Duncan, Arianne Adams, Kate Qually, Mylee Ross, Chelsey Hannesson, Katie Thorlakson, Lindsay Rohla, Rachael Pelat, Nicole Stewart, Ally Benes, Caitlin Young, Karm Jawandha and Chelsea Stang. The team manager was Albert Stewart, the assistant manager was Megan Blaker, the coach was Jeff Clarke and the assistant coach was Martin Foden. 

In 2013, Surrey United won the BC Provincial Cup - Women's by defeating North Shore Girls Renegades in the final by a score of 1-0 with a goal from Chelsey Hannesson. The Surrey United team in 2013 was: Arianne Adams, Aly Benes, April Coffin, Tristan Corneil, Courtney Duncan, Natalie Fabbro, Chelsey Hannesson, Faythe Lou, Theresa Nuttall, R achael Pelat, Erin Porter, Kate Qually, Lindsay Rohla, Mylee Ross, Nicole Stewart, Katie Thorlackson,Bianca Wilkinson and Caitlin Young. The manager was Albert Stewart, the coach was Leigh Sembaluk and the assistant coach was Martin Foden.

In 2014, Surrey United won the BC Provincial Cup - Women's by defeating North Shore Girls Renegades in the final by a score of 2-0 with two goals from Nicole Stewart. The Surrey United team in 2014 was: Arianne Adams, Aly Benes, Eva Caldieri, April Coffin, Mellissa Demeda, Courtney Duncan, Natalie Fabbro, Chelsey Hannesson, Randee Hermus, Marisa Kovacs, Faythe Lou, Theresa Nuttall, Rachael Pelat, Chiara Quadri, Kate Qually, Christina Southerby, Nicole Stewart, Katie Thorlakson, Bianca Wilkinson and Caitlin Young. The manager was Albert Stewart and the coach was Ari Adams.

In 2017, Surrey United won the BC Provincial Cup - Women's by defeating North Shore Girls Renegades in the final by a score of 1-0 with a goal from Yvahara Rodriguez. The Surrey United team in 2017 was: Zoe Makragiannis, Chelsey Hannesson, Andrea Perrotta, Natalie Fabbro, Nicole Stanley, Montana Leonard, Courtney Duncan, Arianne Adams, Kate Qually, Kristina Klein, Nicolle Fraser, April Coffin, Rachael Pelat, Nicole Stewart, Alexandra Benes, Caitlin Young, Carolyne Nellis, Daniela Hampton and Yvahara Rodriguez. The manager was Albert Stewart and the coach was Spiro Pegios.

In 2018, Surrey United won the BC Provincial Cup - Women's by defeating North Shore Girls Renegades in the final by a score of 2-0 with two goals from Samantha Dion. The Surrey United team in 2018 was: Arianne Adams, Violet Bacon, Alexandra Benes, Gurveen Clair, April Coffin, Samantha Dion, Courtney Duncan, Natalie Fabbro (Bourghesi), Nicolle Fraser, Daniella Hampton, Chelsey Hannesson, Kristina Klein, Zoe Makrigiannis, Carolyne Nellis, Andrea Perrotta, Anna Picarelli, Rachael Pelat, Kate Qually, Giulia Repole, Yvamara Rodriguez, Nicole Stanley, Nicole Stewart (Mackenzie), Katie Thorlakson, Caitlin Young (Bayliss) and Monika Zavaleta. In 2003, Surrey United won the BC Provincial Cup - Men's by defeating ICSF Inter in the final by a score of 3-2 with goals from Graham Magowan, Joe Deacon and Darren Villars. The Surrey United team in 2003 was: Luke Ash, Shawn Blakeway, Ray Christensen, Craig Dalrymple, Joe Deacon, Clayton Dobbin, JJ Duben, Ivan Estrada, Pete Hjorth, Dave Hleucka, Cory Janzen, Jason MacKenzie, Graeme Magowan, Joseph Nakhla, Martin Schaefer, Drew Smiley, Todd Stauber, Darren Villars and Gareth Wilkshire.

In 2012, Surrey United Firefighters won the BC Provincial Cup - Men's by defeating Delta United Hurricanes in the final by a score of 3-2 with two goals from Jeff Clarke and one from Steve McAuley. The Surrey United Firefighters team in 2012 was: Paul Shepherd, Jeff Clarke, Brayden Volkenant, Colin Steckman, Steve McAuley, Shawn Parkes, Steve Kindel, Angus Burke, Liam Miller, Ravinder Jammu, Brad Petoom, Kris Robazza, Niall Thompson, Matt Rosenlund, Vincent Stewart, Steven Fronzo, Nicola Perugini, Sean Einarsson, Ryan Reynolds, Stefan Leslie, Graham Spink, Andrew Proctor, Coultom Jackson, Jorden Whitehead, Rob Wilson and Andrew Fink. In 2013, Surrey United Firefighters won the BC Provincial Cup - Men's by defeating West Vancouver in the final by a score of 1-0 with a goal from Colin Streckmann.
