Introducing Liam Fraser

Short Biography
Liam Fraser, who lived and played in Surrey from 2005 to 2013, has played 15 games for the Canadian MNT from October 2019 to date (to Dec 31 2022) and was selected for the Canadian squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Liam Fraser was born in 1998 in Toronto, Ontario. His family moved to Surrey when Liam was seven, where he lived until 2013 when they returned to Ontario. In BC, Liam played with Peace Arch AC and Surrey Guildford, when he moved to the Whitecaps Residency program.
In Toronto, Liam joined the Toronto FC Academy. From 2013 to 2017 he played for TFC Academy and TFC 2, including in League One Ontario and the PDL. A midfielder, in 2018 Fraser moved up to the Toronto first team in MLS, for whom he made 34 appearances between 2018 and 2021, when he was loaned to Columbus Crew. In 2022 Fraser made the move to Europe, where he plays for Belgian club KMSK Deinze. During his time at Toronto, Fraser won a Canadian Championship Voyageurs Cup in 2018.
For Canada, Liam Fraser has made 18 appearances, three at Under 20 and 15 for the senior men’s national team (as at November 12, 2022). Between 2015 and 2018, Fraser was selected to camps and development programs for Canadian teams at Under 18, Under 20 and Under 23. He played three games for Canada at the 2017 CONCACAF Men’s Under-20 Championship.
Liam Fraser’s 15 appearances for the senior MNT began in 2019, his caps including games in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2021 and six games in the successful 2021-22 qualifying campaign for the 2022 World Cup 2022. In November 2022, Liam Fraser was selected for the Canadian squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
